8 tips to choose your tent:

• Number of people: The specifications of a four person tent mean that four people will fit very tightly, with no room for luggage etc. So a family of four should consider a six-person tent or two separate four-person ones. 

• Terms of use: A summer tent is made of light material, with a lot of ventilation and probably not designed for harsh conditions. A three-season tent is more likely to survive heavier rain and winds and provide protection from the cold.

• Ease of use: Ease of use is imperative.

• Tent Material: The scenes from canvas (cotton) is Weatherproof but they happen a lot heavy when it is absorbed water. However, they have long service life and they don't wear out as much. The scenes from nylon and polyester are also Weatherproof, but the Sun's light it will cause wear with time. With these tents, you need to check that the seams are sealed to ensure they are waterproof.

• Tent Weight: Some family tents are so large that they don't fit on roof racks. So, keep this in mind before committing to the purchase. 

• Aeration: Ventilation is of utmost importance. Look for tents that have ventilation with the rain cover open.

• Additional Features:

• Doors: two doors are ideal, as this saves you climbing over someone else

• Windows: important for ventilation. 

• Storage cases: makes the scene less cluttered and essential items easy to find. 

• The size of the awning: additional protection from the elements.

• Possibility to purchase accessories that suit your scene and needs 

• Floor: The floor it should protect you and your belongings from any moisture entering the tent, but it is recommended that you use a "footprint" on each tent. The "footprint" is a piece of specially designed and shaped tarp that goes under the tent to protect it from the ground.
