Η ninida, also known as seborrhea dermatitis of infants or cradle Cpl. It is one of the most common diseases of infant skin. It appears in their babies 2 first months of their lives, in form yellowish scale ή yellow dry skin on head them and create a thick crust on its surface scalp.

Other symptoms may be:

  • Flakes– peeling of the skin on the head
  • Mild redness
  • Changes in head color
  • oiliness or dryness on the baby's head
  • Manifestation of similar symptoms in eyebrows, the eyelids, behind the ears, the nose or the groin

Ways treatment:

  • gently massage their scalp with your fingers or a soft bristled brush
  • gentle wash with special baby shampoo
  • using a special emollient oil with vitamin E designed specifically for tinea heads

Cause:

  • Increased sebum production: Sebum is an oily substance produced by the sebaceous glands on the scalp. In infants, these glands can be overactive, leading to a buildup of sebum.
  • Fungi: Some fungi live naturally on the scalp and may feed on sebum. Overgrowth of these fungi can contribute to ringworm.
  • Atopic dermatitis: The infants with atopic dermatitis, have an increased risk of tinnitus.
  • Family history: It is very possible that if the parents developed eczema or another form of dermatitis at some point, then their child will also present something similar.
